# What is minting?

Tokenizing your artwork or digital asset on the Ethereum Blockchain is a process known as **minting**. 

Your minted artwork or other digital asset is known as an **NFT** or **Non-fungible token**.

NFTs are standardized tokens that represent the unique ownership of a digital asset on a blockchain. There are different types of NFTs.
